The Thanksgiving Journal
How's your day? My name is Justin and I am a pilgrim. Now is the autumn of 1621, and we are going to have a feast. I am part of European because I was came from the Great Britain. After we came here by ships, we have been setting here for 2 years. So today is a day that we celebrate for the success harvest. "Thanks for the god," all of us think it is true because god helps all of us to work together (the Indians and pilgrim). Here is a place call Plymouth, Massachusetts. It is a holy place that we all can eat and live together. The Indians taught us a lot of things such as how to grow food, catch fish and also hunting. This make our life easier, so today we are going to find something that can thanks for the god and people that had helped us after we came. I am in a group of people which trying to find something to eat. All in all, the only thing that we find is a golden gate in the forest. On the gate, it says it is a door that can go to the heaven. But the strange thing is that the door doesn't have the keyhole. Then a person who thinks he is the god says that you must find something interesting to open the door instead a key. Three days have passed, we all give up and acknowledge that nothing can open this door. Even some people indifferent about this, but we still think this is a gift to the god. Then we see a type of chicken that we have never seen it before. It turns to a key and the door opens without using any force. That is amazing! After this we call this turkey because it turns to a key- turnkey.
